On a 2 day visit to the hill City of Shimla where I grew up, I saw this mesmerizing sunset. I was running some errands for the family and when I saw the light suddenly change, I looked up at the sky as it was turning red. I dropped what I was doing, found an empty spot, pulled out my camera – slowly, sneakily – keeping an eye at the sky, as if a sudden movement might change the mood the of the sky. As I took this picture, I realised that this was the second such sunset in 2 short trips and I wondered how many brilliant sunsets there were?

And the sharp dagger of disappointment pierced my heart and as I flipped though the memories of 12 years of childhood in Shimla, in which I remember no sunset, not even looking up at the sky.
